What is the EAC?

Established by the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (HAVA), the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) is an independent, bipartisan commission helps Americans participate in the voting process.

The EAC that maintains the national mail voter registration form which is available in 20 languages, adopts voluntary voting system guidelines, holds public meetings and hearings to inform the public about its progress and activities, and serves as a national clearinghouse of information on election administration.
